Brigid was a little offended when she saw a JD Fitzgeralds sign for St Patrick day.
“It’s PADDY! not PATTY!!” she cried.
Me: those damn Canadians! How do they not know that? Have they not heard of the ST PATRICK’S DAY PARADE in the US? have they not tasted the Green beer served at bars? Do they not have some Irish working for them? Do they not have some leprechauns working for them??? Those damn canadians!
After I was done my speech, Brigid and I stare at each other.
Me: It’s PADDY day! Duh!  Not Patty! It’s not short for Patricia!
Brigid shook her head. She was laughing so hard she couldn’t take an order.
Me: PADDY also short for Padraig.
Poor Irish Brigid getting a history of the Irish, from the Canadian.
