I thought it was a brilliant idea having Daisy and her kittens sleep with me.
Daisy would stop her scratching at my door to be let in and the kittens would be finally sleeping.
I got to snuggle with my Daisy!
All was going great until I noticed one of the kittens had started to pee. I let Daisy see her kittens boo boo. She didn’t seem to interested. So I started litter training. I looked up online.
I put the litter in their view. Let the kittens and Daisy check it out. Two of the kittens used it. One of the kittens peed on the floor. Not impressed! I had to clean the floor and Daisy ran to see if her baby was ok from my scolding.
Daisy refused to look at me for the day. She didn’t let me hug her or snuggle. I did my best to coax her into a hug. Nope.
this morning we were all snuggles until one of the kittens was scratching the bed. I was half asleep so I didn’t think much of it until I rolled into the puddle of pee!
I was wide eye and bushy tailed then! Screeching I leaped out of bed. I grabbed all the kittens and explained to Daisy she and her babies were no longer allowed in the bedroom.
I began to haul her cat tree out. She leaped on the bottom of the tree, and dragged her feet, trying to stop me.
I felt bad for being a bad cat mom but I took Daisy in my arms and hugged her. I told her I was sorry I undermined her authority as a mother. But she and the kittens needed to be outside my room until they learn how to use the litter.
