SUNNY DAYS SWEEPING THE CLOUDS AWAY

The day began with sunshine and blue skies. A slight breeze.

I went to the lake for awhile. There was alot of winter damage to the docks and the shores but the water had cleared of the putrid green/brown to a nice blue. Not a clear blue mind you, but a pleasant enough shade to keep our mind off the fact that there could be mutant fishes swimming in the murky depths. Yuck!

People were still using the docks even though it wasnt safe to do so. It was blocked off and clearly marked. The dock had even broke apart. it amazed me how people were so inconsiderate.

I was enjoying the sunshine until the dark grey skies started to roll in.

It began to rain.

Perfect! An excuse for me to start writing again!

Until I realized I couldnt see.

Here I am sitting at my laptop, so excited to start writing and I couldnt see the screen. I guess its horrible of me to say I am blind when my sight is marginally worse than before.

It is frustrating!

All I did was clean the lens of my glasses on Friday.

The protective film on one lens scratched and peeled.

I was aghast!

I couldnt see.

Forget about seeing the optometrist! She wouldnt see me or fix my glasses for another 2 weeks. Despite me telling her it was an emergency!

Then this morning I cleaned the other lens!

The film on that lens peeled and scratched too!

Oh the inhumanity!

Oh at least the sunshine is coming out again!

  1. How far is the lake from where you live? We can’t sing

“And she was blinded by the light. Cut loose like a deuce. Another runner in the night. Blinded by the light. She got down but she never got tight, but she’ll make it alright.” (Bruce Springsteen).

How disappointing. You have to be blind for two weeks? That sucks.
