I WAS JUST TRYING MY BEST

I have a headache!

I had to pray for patience and kindness today.

I flipped my shit! Lost my temper at a customer and almost threw my headset at the screen.

I was nice taking his order but before he even finished his sentence he began to bitch me out about how his order was wrong.

“I’m sorry?”

“I only wanted 1 coffee”

“Yes it’s $2.30”

“I said 1 coffee!”

Then every time I tried to tell him he would cut in and tell me how his order was wrong.

I snapped. Lost it! “Will you please stop talking over me! I’m trying to tell you how much it costs! Your order is $2.30!” I shouted.

There was silence. “But it said..”

Annie who was making ice cream looked at me. “Becky,” she warned.

The customer finally drove up to the First booth and proceeded to yell at the cashier “how dare she talk to him that way! I want your name and I’m talking to the owner”

Annie went to the first booth just as the customer started shouting at the cashier. “She isn’t the one who took your order and neither did I. I’m a manager. I agree the OT shouldn’t have talked to you like that and I will talk to her but she was trying to inform you of your order. I’m sorry about it.” Blah blah

Annie came down to Second to tell me how upset the customer was. But Annie wasn’t mad at me. Nor did she reprimand me. Thankfully.

I try to work on my temper but come on, use the two brain cells God gave you, people!
